I didn’t understand what you are practicing currently as you haven’t mentioned it in question. What are you practicing chords, barre chords or leads it would have much easier for me to counter the mistake you are making.
Well, you have written in your question that you practiced twice in a week, having a bit of experience in this particular stream I just want to let you know that it requires a lot more effort.
And in case you are a beginner and you have just started I will suggest you go for a tuition in a guitar training center as it would be the best as you will get a perfect atmosphere there for learning this amazing instrument. Guitar center consists of professional guitarist who induces you in the most appropriate way step by step.
