Bengal Tigers scientifically known as Panthera tigris tigris, belongs to subspecies of Tiger. A population of tigers was lowered down estimated to 2,500 by 2011. Maximum population accommodated by the Tiger Conservation Landscape would be 250 in number. It has been considered under endangered on IUCN Red List since 2010. It belongs to most common subspecies of tiger and an example of Charismatic Megafauna, It is considered to be one of the biggest cats among Siberian and Caspian Tigers.
