Who invented shopping carts?

Shopping carts were developed by Sylvan Goldman. He invented shopping carts in the year 1937 on June 4. Sylvan Goldman was the owner of Humpty Dumpty supermarket chains in Oklahoma.

The idea of inventing shopping cart came in his mind at night thinking how his customers can move carrying huge amount or quantity of grocery here and there. it was a simple but a useful invention as we know how hard it is do shopping without a cart in the supermarket especially when you have to take too many things.
