I have a few USB-C cables that look almost identical, but they don’t all charge my phone at the same speed. The charger is the same, and the phone supports fast charging, so I’m wondering whether the cable is the limiting factor.
How can I tell from the packaging or markings whether a cable supports the power level a phone needs? I’d also like to understand how the USB-C cable power rating relates to charging speed, and whether a cable’s data-transfer capabilities matter here at all.
