In some UPSC prelims questions, I can eliminate two options but still end up choosing between the remaining pair. Both seem defensible, and spending too long on one question can throw off the rest of the paper.
What works as a reliable UPSC prelims elimination strategy in that situation? I’m interested in how candidates balance clues in the wording, subject knowledge, and the risk of negative marking—especially when they don’t remember the exact fact being tested.
