My Windows laptop loses a noticeable amount of battery overnight even after I choose Shut down. It’s worse if I’ve used it during the day, but I can’t tell whether the battery is simply aging or whether the computer isn’t fully powering off.
Could Windows Modern Standby, connected peripherals, or a firmware setting explain this? I’m trying to work out what to check before replacing the battery.
