I help manage a private Facebook group, and a few people who aren’t members have told me they saw it suggested to them. The group’s posts are private, but I’m not sure what information about the group itself is visible to non-members.
Does a recommendation mean Facebook is exposing member activity, or can it simply suggest the group based on names, interests, or mutual connections? I’m trying to understand the difference between private group visibility and the privacy of what members post.
