I’m writing a paper and used an AI tool to help rephrase a few sentences and brainstorm search terms. I haven’t copied a full answer into the paper, but I’m unsure whether that kind of assistance needs to be disclosed or cited.
Do citation expectations depend on whether the tool generated wording, suggested ideas, or helped with editing? I’d like to follow a transparent process without treating every spelling correction as a source.
