I understand the serving pattern within a standard seven-point tennis tiebreak: one player serves the opening point, then the players alternate in blocks of two serves. I lose track when the tiebreak ends and the next set begins.
Suppose Player A serves the first point of the tiebreak, but Player B serves its final point. Who serves the opening game of the next set?
Is the next-set service order determined by who started the tiebreak, who served last, or who won it? Does a long tiebreak ending 12–10 change anything? I’m asking about singles with another full set to follow, not a match tiebreak that replaces the deciding set.
