How can an HbA1c result come back higher than expected when my finger-prick readings at home are usually within the range my clinician recommended? I know those checks are snapshots, but the difference has left me unsure how to interpret the results together.
Could the timing of home tests, missed overnight highs, or factors that affect red blood cells play a part? I’m not looking for a diagnosis from a forum, but I’d like to understand what questions are useful to bring to my healthcare provider.
