In televised tennis matches, players sometimes challenge a line call almost immediately, even while the rally is still going. I’ve wondered what happens if the challenge shows that an earlier ball was out but the players continued playing.
Does the umpire stop the rally as soon as a challenge is made, or is the review handled after the point? I’m also curious whether the answer changes depending on the tournament’s electronic line-calling system.
