Many accounts of the Green Revolution focus on higher wheat and rice yields, especially in Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh. I’m trying to understand how the changes played out elsewhere: did access to irrigation, seeds, and credit widen the gap between regions, or did the benefits spread in different ways over time? I’d be interested in sources that discuss the uneven Green Revolution benefits, not just the national production figures.
