My laptop fan ramps up during video meetings, even when the task manager shows fairly low CPU usage. It happens with more than one meeting app, and the laptop is sitting on a hard desk with its vents clear.
Could the camera, background effects, browser hardware acceleration, or another component be generating heat that CPU usage doesn’t show? I’d like to narrow down what to check before assuming the fan or cooling system needs repair.
