I’m trying to improve my General Studies answers for UPSC Mains, but I’m unsure how much factual support is enough. Adding schemes, reports, examples, and a few figures can make an answer look grounded, yet it also eats into the word limit and leaves less room for analysis.
When writing UPSC GS answers, how do you decide which evidence genuinely strengthens a point and which details are just taking up space? I’d especially value advice on balancing examples with a clear argument when the question is broad.
