Why Does My Reddit Post Show on My Profile but Not in the Subreddit?

Question

I can see my post on my Reddit profile, but it never appears in the subreddit where I submitted it. There’s no removal message, and I’m not sure whether it’s waiting for moderator approval or being caught by a filter.

What’s the best way to check what happened without reposting and risking a duplicate? I’d also like to understand whether account age, subreddit rules, or posting frequency can affect Reddit post visibility.

I’ve experienced this kind of issue before. Sometimes a post appears on your profile but not in the subreddit because it’s caught by spam filters, held for moderator approval, or blocked by subreddit rules. Check the post status, review the rules, and politely message the moderators if needed. Avoid reposting repeatedly, as that can make things worse.
