After my laptop wakes from sleep, the external monitor is detected in display settings but stays black. Unplugging and reconnecting the cable usually brings it back, so the monitor itself seems to be working.
This happens with a USB-C dock, though I haven’t established whether the dock, graphics driver, or a power-saving setting is involved. What would you check first to narrow down why the external monitor after sleep doesn’t resume properly?
