When I record video indoors, some LED-lit rooms produce dark or bright bands that move across the picture. The same lights look steady to my eyes, and I don’t see the effect in every room.
Is this mainly a mismatch between the camera’s frame rate and the lights’ flicker, or can shutter settings and the type of LED driver also matter? I’d like to understand which camera settings are worth checking before assuming there’s a problem with the phone camera video.
