Can Gemini in Sheets make a useful pivot table from messy data?

I’m looking at Gemini for a spreadsheet with duplicate category names, blank cells and dates entered in more than one format. The data is usable, but it needs cleaning before a pivot table would mean much.

Can Gemini spot those inconsistencies and help build a pivot table without silently grouping unlike entries together? If you’ve tried it, I’d like to know what kind of review was still needed before trusting the result.
