I work in the field of game development, currently focusing on a project calledSpace Waves – it’s a rhythm-based arcade game where players control a spaceship through neon-like tunnels while keeping up with electronic music.

I often face challenges when trying to balance the difficulty level so it feels challenging but not frustrating, especially since the gameplay depends heavily on rhythm and reflexes.

My question is: What do you think are the best ways to design levels for rhythm or reflex-based games so that they stay engaging and fun without becoming too overwhelming for players?

I’d really appreciate any insights, whether from developers or players who enjoy these kinds of games.
