Wow, Netflix really shook things up, didn't it? Did old Hollywood even see that coming? Streaming definitely changed the game, maybe even reshaped it entirely. The big studios had to adapt, or become dinosaurs. Thinking about it, reminds me of the time my local bookstore had to close down when Amazon got super popular. They just couldn't compete with the convenience and lower prices, like a slippery slide, a metaphorical Slope Game if you will, leading to inevitable closure.
