Maharana Pratap vehemently resisted the expansionist policy of Mughal Emperor Akbar, who was attempting to attack the religious freedom of Hindus. Pratap understood the danger of this to the indigenous traditions and self -rule which was core to the lives of Hindus.

He was not ready at all to give up Rajput sovereignty and religious freedom. According to Pratap, submission was a form of betrayal to Sanatan values. His rebellion secured the independence of Mewar, where Hindus were allowed to worship without any forced conversion.

Pratap was keen on preserving the Hindu religious infrastructure and ways in his kingdom. He also made sure that temples were kept as sanctuaries, rituals conducted by priests without interruption and festivals that were held traditionally. His opposition saved the physical and spiritual core of Sanatan Dharma in Mewar.

Pratap embraced the warrior culture of Sanatan Dharma even in tough exile. His consistent fight, gigantic personal sacrifice, and never-give-up attitude turned out to be an inspirational symbol of endurance. This roused Hindus to defend their dharma when the odds were heavily stacked against them.

The legacy of Pratap is his physical and ideological defenselessness. His unwillingness to surrender made Mewar a stronghold of Hindu religion. He demonstrated that the fundamental values of Sanatan Dharma, namely courage, duty, freedom and resilience, could overcome tremendous odds, by dint of will and sacrifice.

Conclusion:

Maharana Pratap was unconditionally defending Sanatan Dharma. He defended the freedom of religion with his last resistance, defended the sacred places and executed his Kshatriya dharma against hegemony. His steadfastness made Hindu customs to be maintained in Mewar. Pratap is a timeless example of Sanatan strength and attitude, where fundamental values prevail through infinite bravery.
