ISRO was working together with partners of the International Space Station (ISS) program to offer certain astronaut training. This special training of the Indian space agency took place under the patronage of NASA, which is representing these partners in the rides of these Astronauts. During this training, the participants had to know the important ISS systems and operations and emergency procedures needed to operate on board of the station.
The cooperation gave ISRO astronauts the firsthand experience of ISS life support, orbital payload operations and the routine procedures. Such specific training guaranteed an acquaintance with the complicated environs of the station and working conditions.
ISRO won this training by NASA in order to complement its own home program. It only targeted the transfer of ISS operational experience to the astronauts. Such a collaboration squarely tackled the issue of capability in ISS systems.
As such, NASA as an agent of the ISS program partners is the international space station that collaborated with the ISRO to give this astronaut training. The training equipped one with valuable knowledge of the ISS down the line.
Conclusion:
The program partners of the ISS (NASA) offered trained services to the ISRO astronauts, Gaganyaan, on special training. Such training was purely on ISS systems, operations and safety measures. The agreement provided essential information that was necessary to operate in the station. ISRO also involves NASA to provide astronauts with readiness dynamics that are designed to fit the ISS activities, thus NASA becomes the ISS partner with regard to the astronaut readiness program.
