India is working toward sustainable economic growth by focusing on clean energy, better social services, and environmental care. The country aims to generate 450 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030, using sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. To make this happen, India offers financial support to green energy projects, reducing its dependence on coal and oil.

In farming, India is encouraging sustainable practices that use water wisely and protect the soil. These efforts help farmers produce crops in a way that doesn’t harm the land. The Clean India Mission has brought better sanitation to rural areas, which helps reduce diseases related to poor hygiene. Through Ayushmaan Bharat, a healthcare program, millions of families now have affordable health coverage, which is essential for improving health and well-being.

India also focuses on making financial and digital services more accessible. With programs like the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) system, many people, especially women, can now easily access bank accounts and receive government support directly. Initiatives such as – Make in India, Skill India, and the more recent Startup India are strategies designed to create more employment through supporting domestic enterprises as well as encouraging self-employment.

To help mitigate climate change, India is preparing infrastructure to respond to natural disasters like floods and storms. India is also planting millions of trees and has committed to restoring lands of 26 million hectares that have been degraded by 2030. All these efforts enhance the quality of air and also reduce cases of soil erosion and improve the nature of the land.

India is partnering with other countries to support global sustainability goals. For example, India leads the International Solar Alliance – an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the implementation of solar energy globally. By these steps, India is charting a course towards a future that empowers its people, preserves the earth’s resources and develops a sound and sustainable economy.
