Music plays an important role in the overall development of any child. All parents want to provide their children with best opportunities to learn and grow. Music is the best thing that helps in the overall growth and development of any child.

Benefits of music-

1. Music makes children more creative.

2. It develops their analytical and problem solving skills.

3. Music makes them more disciplined.

4. Music boosts children’s confidence level.

5. Music teaches them how to collaborate with others.

Music in American Schools-

Elementary schools in the United States offer music classes several times a week, which ranges from thirty to forty-five minutes in length. Starting from fourth grade, performance opportunities are often provided in the form of choirs or orchestral bands. Although Music is optional in all high schools of America yet there are many music programs such as concert bands, marching bands, jazz bands, choir, theatre which offer multiple opportunities of instrumentalists. Some high schools are thinking to add music theory and conducting classes. These classes might be offered for dual credit in the future.
