To deactivate your Twitter account using a Macbook, follow these steps : 

1. Open your web browser and go to the Twitters website. 
2. Log  in to your Twitter account if you haven't already.
3. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner to open the dropdown menu.
4. Select “ Settings and privacy ” from the dropdown menu.
5. In the left sidebar , click on “ Your Account ” 
6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “ Deactivate your account ”.
7. Read the information provided on the deactivation page, and then click on the “Deactivate”button .
8. Follow the prompts to confirm the deactivation of your account, Twitter will retain your account data for 30 days. If you log back in during this time , your account will be reactivated. After 30 days , your account will be reactivated .After 30 days , your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
