Any major natural disasters?

If you mean notable disasters from the last few years, several caused widespread loss of life or major damage: the 2023 Türkiye–Syria earthquakes, the 2023 Libya floods after Storm Daniel, the 2023 Maui wildfires, Japan’s 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, and the 2024 floods in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul.

That isn’t a complete list, and I can’t verify breaking events happening right now. If you have a particular country or time period in mind, tell me and I can narrow it down.
