The Department of the Army is one of the three military departments in the Department of Defense (DoD) of the US, alongside the Department of the Navy and the Department of the Air Force. It determines pressure shape, unit agency, and overall readiness.  

Training and Education: The Army is committed to preserving a rather trained and professional pressure. The Department oversees schooling programs, professional navy schooling, and the development of infantrymen, officers, and leaders at diverse levels.  

Equipping and Modernization: The Department guarantees that the U.S. Army is ready with cutting-edge and powerful weaponry, automobiles, and equipment. It performs a vital function in the purchase and modernization of military hardware and era.  

Logistics and Sustainment: The Army should be able to sustaining its forces in numerous operational environments. The Department manages logistics, ensuring the timely and efficient deliver of sources, employees, and equipment to aid Army missions. The Department of the Army prepares and deploys forces in response to countrywide safety necessities, along with distant places deployments and contingency operations.  

Joint Operations: The Army collaborates with other branches of the U.S. Navy and worldwide partners in joint and coalition operations.  Homeland Defense: In addition to its global missions, the Department of the Army plays a role in fatherland protection, assisting civil government in reaction to natural screw ups, emergencies, and other home incidents.  

Strategic Planning: The Army contributes to the improvement of national protection techniques and participates in the making plans and execution of navy campaigns to protect U.S. Pastimes and security.
