As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the most recent Cricket World Cup took place in 2019 in England. The winner of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup was England. England secured their victory in a thrilling final against New Zealand held at Lord's on July 14, 2019.

The final match ended in a tie after both the regular 50-over game and the Super Over. In the Super Over tiebreaker, England managed to score more runs than New Zealand, securing their first-ever Cricket World Cup title. The victory was historic for England, and the match itself is widely regarded as one of the most dramatic and closely contested World Cup finals in the history of the tournament.

For the most recent updates on Cricket World Cup winners beyond 2019, I recommend checking the latest sources or official cricket governing bodies as my information may be outdated given my last training cut-off in January 2022.

England are the defending champions. They won the 2019 World Cup beating Newzeland as a host nation. England played there first final whereas Newzeland played there second consecutive final beating India in Semis.

Talking about the final England is the second country to win the World Cup at their Home. They beat Australia in the semifinal.

The final was tied and it was the first time that the teams playing super over. In the super over England Score 14 runs in reply newzeland score 14 too and the super over tied. After that the team who score more boundary will declare as a winner so england score more boundary.

Later this rule was changed and new rule applied that is if the super over tied it will be continue unless the team win.
