The International Cricket Council (ICC) conducts various formats of cricket tournaments, including Test cricket, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Each format has its own world championship.
1. Test Cricket: The ICC Test Championship is a league competition for Test cricket. In this format, teams play a series of Test matches against each other over a two-year period. Points are awarded based on match results, and the team with the most points at the end of the cycle is crowned the Test champions. The inaugural ICC World Test Championship cycle began in 2019, and the final was played between India and New Zealand in June 2021. New Zealand won the final and became the inaugural ICC World Test Championship champions.
