Rakesh Sharma has represented the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) during Annual General Assembly held on May 8, 2019 in Indonesia. International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (IMMA) advances its strategy for sustainable growth of the two-wheeler industry in every region of the world. IMMA is a member of Powered Two and Three Wheeler (PTWs) manufacturers association in many countries all over the world including USA, UK, Canada, Australia, German, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, apart from SIAM in India.

International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (IMMA) promotes mobility through safe, sustainable motorcycling by supporting the development and harmonization of technical regulations in United Nations, which affects the motorcycle industry and by advancing the inclusive policies for motorcycling.

International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association is a Geneva based association. The core business of IMMA’s is the negotiation of global international legislation on the construction and use the power of two-wheelers. IMMA enables the industry to speak with one voice at all levels. In a global business environment, PTW manufacturers are faced with different regulations in different countries, while often aimed at achieving the same purpose, but differing for historical reasons.

Johannes Loman, is the President of International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association and the Director of Astra Honda, Indonesia. He has been also the Vice-president of IMMA from a period of May 2015 to May 2016.The Organizations makes an effective contribution to the work of the technical committee or subcommittee for questions dealt with the technical committee or subcommittee. IMMA makes a technical contribution and participate actively in the processing work of a working group.
