He died at the age of 75 years at a hospital in New Delhi due to Cardiac Arrest. As the news of his death due to the Cardiac Arrest was officially announced by his family member. Initially, he suffered from a massive Heart Attack and was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital in Aligarh. But after sometime his condition deteriorates and was shifted to the hospital in New Delhi.
He belongs to a family of Freedom Fighters. He completed his college and Master’s Degree from the Aligarh Muslim University. After that, in the 1970s he started his political career with the Youth Congress and later joined Lok Dal. Then, in 1980, he was elected for the Vidhan Sabha from Aligarh Constituency. He was considered as the close member with Mulayam Singh which helped him to be elected two times for the Vidhan Parishad.
In 1990, he became the Minority Committee Chairman of Uttar Pradesh. As well as, he has been the member of the Samajwadi Party Central Committee for about two decades. After that, in 2014, he has been appointed as the Advisor in Tourism Department by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav.
He was living with his wife, two daughters, and a son. According to the family members, his body would be laid to rest at his family graveyard, near the Eidgah ground.
