The
5th National Public Procurement Conclave (NPPC) was held on the theme '
Technology-enabled
Government Procurement – Towards Efficiency, Transparency, and Inclusiveness' by
Government e-Marketplace (GeM) in collaboration with the
Confederation of Indian Industry. Smt. Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, presided over the virtual opening of the conclave.
An overview
seminar on GeM was held at the event, which guided attendees through the
network's core features and capabilities. The
Conclave also featured a diverse spectrum of panel talks on various topics from promoting
MSMEs in procurement contracts to how fintech can help vendors and network operators doing business with a
company gain access to finance.
Other highlights at
NPPC 2021 included virtual B2B and B2G meetings between government market participants, learning and technological meetings on GeM innovations and different advancements, a virtual GeM stall to settle enquires on the spot and enable seller and buyer certification, a special meeting on GeM for Services such as Hospitality, Travel, and Accommodation bookings, and DIVE sessions where buyers and sellers gave online presentations to the participants. The Conclave this year provided an ideal chance for
Government purchasers, vendors, businesses, and academics to connect, as well as an internet site for merchants to promote their goods and solutions through the CII's HIVE Digital Platform.
