During a recent INTERPOL operation dubbed 'HAECHI-II,' law enforcement agencies from more than 20 nations detained over 1,000 people and confiscated around $27 million in illegal cash. The mission, codenamed 'HAECHI-II,' lasted 4 months, from June to September.

The International Criminal Police Organization, or Interpol, is an international organization that promotes global police interaction and reduces crime. It is the world's biggest international police organization, with seven regional offices and a National Central Bureau in each of the 195 member states. It is located in Lyon, France.

Interpol was founded in 1914 during the First International Criminal Police Congress, which brought together officials from 24 nations to explore law enforcement cooperation. It was established in September 1923 as the InternationalCriminal Police Commission (ICPC), and many of its current responsibilities were adopted throughout the 1930s. After falling under Nazi authority in 1938, the agency remained essentially dormant until the conclusion of WWII. The ICPC established a new constitution in 1956, and the term Interpol was taken from its telegraphic address, which had been in use since 1946.
