In the women's category, England skipper Knight defeated Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu and West Indies star Deandra Dottin to be crowned ICC Player of the Month for January 2022. Knight led England in the one-off Ashes Test against Australia in Canberra, where he finished with the most runs.

Heather Clare Knight OBE is an English cricketer who serves as captain of the England women's squad. She bats right-handed and bowls right-arm-off spin. In December 2019, Knight played her 100th Women's One Day International match for England.

Knight was born in Rochdale on December 26, 1990, and attended Plymstock School, a public secondary school in Plymouth, Devon. Knight began attending colts workouts when he was just eight years old and advanced through the team's youth setup. In both 2008 and 2009, she led the county in run-scoring aggregates. She also competed in the Super Fours for the Diamonds, Sapphires, and Emeralds.

Knight led Western Storm in the now-defunct Women's Cricket Super League, where she led them to championships in 2017 and 2019. Throughout the competition's four seasons, she was the top run-scorer. In 2020, she played for Western Storm in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. Knight has formerly played for Tasmanian Roar and Hobart Hurricanes in Australia and is present with Sydney Thunder. In her debut season with the Thunder, she claimed the Women's Big Bash League.
