  • Like site, domain, and OU, 'policy' is assigned in Active Directory. Users and groups are given 'Rights,' whereas network resources such as files, folders, and printers are given 'Permission.'
  • A document's permissions determine which people or groups have access to it. A policy, on the other hand, is a programmable set of security attributes that specify what a user is permitted to do with a document.
  • When creating a custom permission, such as when creating an app that other apps can connect to, limiting access is a necessary. When your programme requires a permission that it does not normally have, uses-permission is utilised.
