- While the 'No bootable device' error isn't necessarily a significant one, it can certainly cause issues. There are likely to be other messages that say the same thing. One is 'no bootable devices found.'
- Any piece of hardware that contains or can read the files needed for a computer to start is referred to as a bootable device. Bootable devices include hard drives, floppy disc drives, CD-ROM drives, DVD drives, and USB thumb drives. It's possible that your hard drive isn't set as the initial boot device in your BIOS. Unless you specifically choose to boot from a different device, it should be the default. Here's you can resolve the problem:
- To enter the BIOS interface, restart the computer and press Esc.
- To open the Boot tab, press the right arrow key on your keyboard. By pressing '+' or '-,' move 'Hard Drive' to the top of the boot order list.
