- If you're using a DSL or cable modem, ensure sure it's connected to both the telephone or cable connector and the wide area network (WAN) port on the base station.
- On your Mac, go to the Utilities folder in the Applications folder and open the AirPort Utility software.
- Select the base station you want to configure in the graphical overview, then click Edit. A password for the base station may be required.
- Select PPPoE from the Connect Using pop-up option after clicking Internet.

- Optionally, customise the PPPoE connection type by selecting an option from the PPPoE Connection pop-up menu by clicking the Internet Options button towards the bottom of the pane:
