The book ‘Food for All: International Organization and the Transformation of Agriculture’ was written by ‘Uma Lele’. She is a Ph.D. degree holder from the University of Cornell. The book was released in the year 2015, and was published under the publication house of ‘Oxford University Press’.

When was the Food for All written?
The writer Uma Lele has an experience of four decades in the Agricultural Research, Project Design and Implementation, Policy Analysis, and Program Evaluation. The book explains the Food and Agricultural Developmental Assistance which has been provided by five major International Organizations from the day of their establishment to measure the relevance, impact, and effectiveness in such a dramatically changing world. The groups covered in the book are, the World Bank Group, Food and Agriculture Organization, World Food Program, International Fund for Agricultural Development, and Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research.
The book came out as the result of the meeting headed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in October 2010. The foundation tries to find out how to come over with the challenges and the opportunities available for the global food and agriculture system.
The writer Uma Lele retired from the World Bank, after completing the long 34 years association as a Senior Advisor in the Operation Evaluation Department in August 2005. As well as she published many notable works on Agriculture and Rural Development. She wrote and edited almost 15 books till now as well as 100 papers on development related issues. In 2005, she started a Philanthropic Activity to Empower the Girl Child and Women of India. She has been the former Director of ‘Engender Health’, Trustee of ‘Institute of Development Studies’, Trustee of ‘M.S. Swaminathan Foundation’, and Former Director of ‘Centre for International Forestry Research’.
