The Nigerian poet “Tade Ipadeola” wrote the book ‘The Sahara Testaments’. The book deals with the issues of Dessert History, the impact of Change in Climate, Personal Stories, and Political opinions.

When was the The Sahara Testaments written?
The Sahara Testament is a collection of poems, which narrates all these issues in the form of poems. It is his third book in writing collection. Tade Ipadeola is an award winning writer and poet from Nigeria. He writes in English and Yoruba language as well. By profession he is a Lawyer. His work of collection of poems was released in the year 2013, and for this he received the most prestigious award of Africa in writing ‘Nigeria Prize for Literature’ by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG).
In his collection of poetry, he represented various situations like Sahara’s true richness which was ruined by horrific tragedies as well as involves death of migrants in North-Africa. He also won award for his previous writing. In 2009, he won the ‘Delphic Laurel in Poetry’ at the Delphic Games in Jeju, South Korea, for his Yoruba poem “Songbird”.
This is his third volume of poetry, for which he won award as well as $100,000 cash prize. Tade Ipadeola is also the President of “PEN Nigeria Centre”. In 2005, he translated two classical novels in English which were initially written in Yoruba, by the writer “Daniel Fagunwa”. Ipadeola started writing at a very small age, and also won a regional prize at the final year of his secondary school.
