African Union new chairman is Moussa Faki, a foreign minister of Chad who succeeded Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma. African Union is a union of 55 states which was founded on 26 May 2001. It has its headquarter at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
The objectives of AU are to achieve greater unity and solidarity between African countries. It also promotes and defends peace and security and stability of the continent. It also serves as a bridge as a bridge between countries to coordinate and harmonize economic regional balance.
