The 2nd ‘National Micro Drama Festival’ (NMDF-2018) was organized at “Kamani Auditorium” in New Delhi, on February 11, 2018.

Which city to host the 2nd edition of National Micro Drama Festival (NMDF-2018)?
It was a daylong event in which each play was of approximately 10 minutes. The drama was of including the vibrant colors of the country and various ideas were represented in front of the audience in a very compelling manner. The Director of NMDF Thespis-2 is “Mr. Ajith G. Maniyan”. The participants in a day long event were from all over the Country. National Micro Drama Festival of India was presented in 25 different languages and it was one of its kind.  
Total 27 plays were selected to be presented on-stage in front of the audience and judges. The Award for Best Production was presented to Director “Vijay Kapoor” for the drama “Kapur-e-Kashmir” with a trophy and Rs. 25,000/-. The second Prize in the same category was presented to Director “Anurag Thakur” for the drama “Maine Circus Kha Liya”. The Best Technician Award was presented to “Abhishek Bajpayee”. Best Script Award was presented to “Mohit Chattopadhyay” for the drama “Two Umbrella- One Head” in the Bengali language. The same drama won the Jury Choice Award for the Best Director to Director “Siddhartha Das Gupta”.
The Best Actor Male Award was won by “Ananthu R. Narayanan” for his role in ‘Nautanky’ and the Best Actor Female Award was won by “Shivani Varma” for her role in ‘Kanpur-e-Kashmir’. Whereas, in Special Jury Category, the Best Actor Male was awarded to “T. P. Kunhikannan Cheruvathur” for his role in ‘Adhreman’ and the Best Actor Female was awarded to “Rupali” for her role in ‘Aaj Ji Savitri’.
The 2nd edition was inaugurated by theatre scholar-directors Arvind Gaur and Omchery N. N. Pillai.
