She joined the board as the Independent Director of ICC in June 2018. Usually, the Independent Directors are appointed for a period of two years, but it is expected that she may be re-appointed for two more terms which make her hold the post for consecutive six years. She is a global business leader and one of the World’s Most Powerful Women. She is responsible for global foods and beverages in India which includes a total of 22 different brands and generates more than $1 Billion Annually.
She is the leader to deliver financial performances by integrating sustainability into the company’s business strategy. Due to this, since 2006, the company PepsiCo shifted its focus towards more nutritious beverages and food. This initiative put the company as a more environment friendly as well as creating more opportunities for their employees.
She accepted the responsibility of Independent Director of ICC with warmth and said, she loves the game of Cricket. She used to play Cricket as a teenager and in college days as well. She learned many lessons with this sport i.e. teamwork, integrity, respect, and healthy competition. She mentioned that she is looking forward to work with all the colleagues, ICC’s partners, and cricketer over the world to grow the sport responsibility and give the followers and fans a new reason to follow every bit of the Cricket.
