Steps to convert text to shapes in PowerPoint:

  • Insert a text box on your slide and type into it, making sure the font, size, and colour are appropriate.
  • Insert a shape onto your slide, making sure that it completely overlaps your text box and covers it. a rectangle shape was overlaid
  • Reorder the Rectangle shape by sending it behind the existing text box by right-clicking the shape and selecting Send to Back, or re-ordering them in the Selection Pane after it has been placed.
  • Now, while holding Shift, choose the text box and then the Rectangle shape. It's crucial to choose the text box first, because the output shape will take the format of the first option.
  • Once you've made your choices, go to the Shape Format tab, then the Merge Shapes icon, and finally Intersect.
  • Now that your text has been turned to a shape, you can format it as such, giving you a variety of formatting possibilities. You won't be able to change the words themselves, though.
  • Right-click the converted shape and look for the Edit Points option to see if it has been turned into a shape.
  • When you select Edit Points, you'll be able to see all of the converted characters' points (vertexes), allowing you to totally customise the shape of each letter.
