The India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF) is a policy debate venue for Internet Governance. The IIGF is an Indian counterpart of the UN's Internet Governance Forum. It is organized to consider Indian ambitions in the formulation of international policy and stakeholder discussions. It is also intended to guarantee that the development of broadband is in line with theIndian community's lifestyle and needs. The multi-stakeholder approach is also employed to run the IGF in India. Government, industrial associations, civilized society, business, faith, and other stakeholders are represented on theIIGF's coordinating council.

Anil Kumar Jain, CEO of the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and Chairman of the Coordination Committee, announced the opening of the Internet Governance Forum. In August 2021, IIGF engagement events began in colleges and universities across the country. Students and teenagers will be motivated to engage in the major event in October through the organization of events.
