The air forces of Bangladesh and the United States would participate in the 'Cope South 22' tactical airlift operation. Pacific Air Forces are sponsoring the six-day drill.

Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) is the United States Air Force Major Command (MAJCOM) and the air component command of the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). PACAF is located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam (old Hickam AFB), Hawaii, and is one of two USAF MAJCOMs posted outside of the Continental United States, the other being the US Forces in Europe- Forces Africa. PACAF has served in combat during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, as well as Operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.

The Pacific Air Forces' objective is to deliver ready air and space power to advance US interests in the Asia-Pacific area through peacetime, crisis, and conflict. PACAF organizes, trains, and equips the 45,000 Total Force members of the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard with the tools they need to assist the Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command. PACAF is made up of three Air Forces, nine primary bases, and almost 375 aircraft.
