Why does my computer keep saying 'Google not responding' when using Chrome?
  • If your Google Chrome is overburdened with browsing data, it may have performance issues, such as slowing down or halting responding. So, if Google Chrome isn't responding in Windows 10, you can erase the browser's browsing history, cache, and cookies. First and foremost, open Google Chrome To clear browser data, tap the three vertical dots on the top right of the screen, pick More tools from the menu, and then Clear browsing data.: Go to the Basic or Advanced tab on the Clear browsing data panel, select a Time period, tick the data that needs to be cleared, and then click Clear data.
  • Through Windows Defender Firewall, allow Google Chrome. Enter control firewall by pressing the Windows key and R at the same time To run it, type cpl in the blank and click OK.  On the left panel, select Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.  Select Change settings, check all of Google Chrome's boxes, and then select OK. Relaunch Google Chrome to review the results. Select Google Chrome and click Apply under Change Settings>Allow another app.
  • Check for Google Chrome updates or reinstall it.-There are several reasons why Google Chrome does not answer. You can try upgrading or reinstalling Google Chrome to see if it helps.  Go to the three vertical dots>Help>About Google Chrome after opening Google Chrome. : A new tab will appear on the screen. If an update is available, Google will detect it. If there is, it will be automatically updated. If this is the case, you should remove and reinstall Google.
  • Check to see whether the error persists after updating or reinstalling Google Chrome.
