Section 175 of the Indian Penal Code defines the punishment for the Omission of producing any document or electronic record to any public servant.
Overview
In every proceeding, the production of the document is very crucial for every case. The value of the pieces of evidence which is in the form of a Document has a great stance in the proceeding. Sometimes one document can lead your case to its victory and hence the absence of such a document can make the case tedious.

Section 175 of the Indian Penal Code
Omission to produce- either it may be any document or any electronic record, to public servant by person legally bound to produce it.
Whoever is legally bound to produce or deliver up any document or electronic record of any public servant, as such intentionally omits so to produce or deliver up the same, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both, or, if the document or electronic record is to be produced or delivered up to a court of justice, with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which could extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
