Overview

RTI is a right given to all the citizens of India and in the case of Raj Narayan V. State of Uttar Pradesh, the Supreme Court of India said that Right to Information is a fundamental right in the Indian constitution as it was earlier used to live inarticle 19 (1) (A) under the right to express and speech. And now we all, the citizens of India have the right.
Making the right access convenient, the Supreme court of India also, in a case said that the central government including the 25 states will make an online portal to avail the right. But only a few of them follow it. the first use of such a portal has been initiated in 2013 in Delhi and Maharashtra governments.

Online Portal For RTI

The online portal is the best way to get the information. As in my opinion, it gives the convenient method to get our information without going any office or any court.
In today's world, when the Covid-19 virus is spreading in all places of every country no one is willing to visit any government offices or physically touch which could bed dangerous hence online portal is the best mode to apply RTI.

  • The central government has made an online made a portal where any citizen of the country can apply to get any information to any Public Authority body.
  • The platform of RTI given by the government is suitable and genuine.
