  • There was no multitasking, so if you minimised the video call to send a message or do something else on your smartphone, it would cease broadcasting your video.
  • However, a new function has been released that allows you to be on a video call while using your smartphone. Your movie is not interrupted, and a PiP mode (Picture-in-Picture) is enabled, which maintains the video floating on the smartphone's bottom left or right side. (Permission to draw over the other applications would be required by WhatsApp.)
  • Another feature that will help you multitask is the ability to play the audio file outside of WhatsApp, so you don't have to be in the same chat window to keep it playing.
  • All you have to do is tap on the audio to stop it from playing, then tap on the home button to return to your smartphone's home screen. The audio will continue to play in the background, and the volume can be adjusted from the notification area.
