Who instituted the Smart Policing Awards?

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) instituted the prestigious Smart Policing Awards in the year 2016. 

The goal of the Awards is to feature activities taken by the different Internal Security Forces of India for the wellbeing and security of residents.

The police of Uttar Pradesh has been honored with the renowned FICCI Smart Policing Award 2019, at the yearly event on country security that was held at FICCI HQ A in New Delhi. The massive yearly meeting saw the support from senior authorities from the Government of India, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and different State Police Forces (SPFs). The recognition of the resourcefulness and far-sightedness of the keen policing arrangements embraced in this event. The AI-based TRINETRA App won the honor in the class of 'Observation and Monitoring' which got 196 entries.

The UP Police Department had propelled TRINETRA, an AI versatile application that digitizes criminals and missing individuals records. The application was initiated by the director-general of police, Om Prakash Singh. TRINETRA conveys the biggest non-redundant and non-questionable criminal information and helps police powers recover the data progressively, and adds to smart policing through geo-fencing, hotspot, and GAIT analysis.
